Meghan Markle is reportedly fed up with the public constantly dragging her through the mud.

In late October 2026, authorities started investigating her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., after allegations surfaced that he possessed child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Shortly after, Meghan released a statement and shockingly revealed that she’s known about the allegations since 2018.

“In 2018, a letter was sent to the Metropolitan Police and Royalty and Specialist Protection. That letter was subsequently shared with me,” she said. “It made troubling and disturbing allegations against my father and I was given assurances that these were being investigated.”

Now, many are criticizing Meghan and accusing her of staying silent about the disturbing situation. According to Star, the backlash has left her enraged.

“These horrific allegations have finally come to light, and instead of showing a shred of humanity, the army of ghouls has found a way to turn this into another twisted attack on Meghan,” an insider said.

The source continued, “They’re questioning why she stayed silent, coming up with all sorts of conspiracy theories and debating the whole thing like it’s some kind of sick sport. … It just proves yet again that no matter what Meghan does these people will find a way to attack her.”

A separate source recently defended Meghan’s silence, telling People that, in 2018, the Duchess of Sussex was warned against speaking out. In fact, she was reportedly told that any public comments at the time “could jeopardize any potential investigation.”

Markle Sr.’s son, Thomas Markle Jr., contacted police after finding “hundreds, if not thousands” of CSAM in his father’s home. He told a friend via The Sun that Markle Sr.’s “desktop was full of row-upon-row of thumbnail pictures linking to the most sickening child abuse imaginable. The worst of the worst.”

He later told the outlet that he “had no option but to report my dad,” adding, “I have supported, cared for him and helped him for years — but that stops now. I won’t speak to my father ever again unless I’m called to give evidence against him.”

Markle Sr. has denied the allegations, calling them “bulls–t” and “a bunch of lies.”

“I’m shocked, I’m hurt and I’m very upset that my son is making these accusations against me. I could never do what I’m being accused of. It’s the worst thing anyone could accuse me of,” he told The Daily Mail. “It’s sick. I have no idea why Tom is trying to destroy me with these lies.”
